My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET BOOMER, THE SMARTEST DOG YOU WILL EVER MEET AND WE'RE NOT KIDDING! Boomer is a 2-3 year old Cattle dog mix. He weighs about 50 lbs, is neutered, heartworm negative and current with vaccinations. He knows how to ring a bell when he needs to go outside. He'll even pick up his leash and put it in his mouth when he has to go out! There are just so many things he does that you can just tell how smart he is. We'd really like him to be adopted by an experienced dog owner and can provide him the necessary exercise that cattle dogs like to have. He is the most loving, kind and cuddle bunny of a dog with his Foster Mom--he follows her everywhere in the house! He is funny too--when his foster Mom is bending down to look in a low cupboard, his head is there, right next to hers, looking with her! He can be a little choosey about his human and doggy friends. He does try and herd and nip (part of the herding behavior) the Foster Mom's 4 yr old son. If Boomer is adopted to a family with children, they should be 14 yrs or older. There are so many wonderful, sweet things about Boomer and he is so handsome! But this is a type of dog breed that requires a seasoned dog owner who understands this breed mix. There is so much to love about this guy. If interested in adopting Boomer, please complete an ADOPTION APPLICATION found at www.pawsohio.org under the ADOPTIONS tab.
