Sassy's Story...
Meet Sassy!

Sassy is an adorable little 35 pound Bassett mix. She is approximatetly two years old.

Sassy came to us as a pregnant momma and gave birth a few days later. Sassy's pups have all gone on to their forever homes now, but Sassy is still waiting for her. She doesn't understand how someone hasn't scooped her up yet!

Sassy loves playing fetch, snuggling on the couch, chewing on her favorite toys, and giving lots of kisses. She is an absolute doll and anyone who meets her is sure to fall in love! Sassy lives in a home with several other dogs and gets along well with the, all. She's also great with kids. She is house and crate trained. She would make a wonderful addition to any family!

Sassy's adoption fee is $175. This includes: Rabies and DHPP vaccines, spay, flea and heartworm preventive (through date of adoption), and microchip.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sassy, a Aiken Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Aiken, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Aiken.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aiken already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aiken breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aiken paves the way for another one to be saved.
