My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

~compassionate adoption fee applies, please email caarescue@gmail.com if serious~
My name is Charlot, I was found wandering the streets and was picked up by a kind person who brought me to the SPCA Montreal figuring I was just lost. Well it turns out that I still had my collar on with tags, so the SPCA called the number on the tag and they pretty much said “keep him” which may sound extremely sad but honestly probably the best news because I got the health care I needed!
My claws were so long that I could barely walk, my fur was matted and I just really was in bad shape. But the SPCA Montreal fell in love with me and they just knew that their shelter was no place for a senior like me. So they contacted CAA Rescue to see if they could take me into foster care and WHAMO the next day I was picked up by a Freedom Driver Volunteer and whisked away to my foster!
I was really exhausted when I joined CAA in foster care … all I wanted to do was sleep quietly. & they were more than happy to let me do so.
I am fine with dogs of all sizes (big and small) and cats as well.
I love people and just love to be around them.
I am gentle and kind and sweet. I am quiet and calm.
I am just a senior man who currently is enjoying all the spoiling my foster mom is giving me!
I love my walks and am clean in the home.
I am a bumpy and warty man “typical of the breed” the very nice vet said to me and then she gave me kisses. She gave me a clean bill of health and everyone at CAA Rescue was very happy!!
My blood test did show that I have mild anemia but everyone strongly believes that is just left over from the circumstances before joining CAA because now with a healthy diet and exercise, tons of sleep and love I am better and stronger every day!

I potentially have another 5+ big years to give full of love to my new guardian (when I find them or they find me). I have so many more adventures to go one & I want to paw the next chapter of my life with you!
I have spent 10 years on a very long and hard journey to find you, if you are the one I have been living and looking for all this time and you are reading this please do not hesitate, write to CAA now and tell them you are my rubber duckie! You are The ONE!
