Stella's Story...
Stella is just a sweet old gal. She is around 10 years old, but we have no history because she was transferred from Genesee County Animal Control. Stella likes to take naps, especially on warm sunny days. She moves a little slower most of the time, unless she smells you cooking. Stella is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, on heartworm and flea prevention. She has also had a dental cleaning, bloodwork and a growth was removed from her lip.

Stella is spayed, heartworm negative, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, treated with dewormer and flea and heartworm preventative. Her adoption fee is $150.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stella, a Flushing Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Pomeranian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Pomeranian for sale in Flushing, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Pomeranian dog from a breeder in Flushing.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Flushing already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Flushing breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Pomeranian breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Pomeranian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Flushing paves the way for another one to be saved.
