Miles's Story...
This is Miles, he is a mastiff/malamute mix, weighing in at 70ish lbs, approximately 2 yrs old. Fully vetted and current with his HW / flea tick prevention. Miles got his name from his rescue story. He was a stray wandering down a dead end road and Animal Control picked him up. No one knows the miles he traveled alone, scared, and abandoned, but all that is behind him now as he awaits for his deserving forever home. Miles loves nothing more than to have your attention. All he wants to do is be beside of you and give you his paw; he's nothing but a big ol' baby who just simply wants to be loved. He is a hugger too! He also enjoys his toys as he will just prance around just waiting for you to play with him. He is crate and house-trained. He needs to be properly introduced to new dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Miles, a Albemarle Mastiff/Alaskan Malamute dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mastiff/Alaskan Malamute for sale in Albemarle, or seeking a Mastiff/Alaskan Malamute dog from a breeder in Albemarle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Albemarle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Albemarle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mastiff/Alaskan Malamute breeders who help with Mastiff/Alaskan Malamute rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Albemarle paves the way for another one to be saved.
