Suzie's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Suzie's Story...
Hi! My name's Suzie, and I'm a 12 year old female border collie mix. I was recently surrendered to the shelter by my owner, who was no longer able to afford to care for me. So now I'm here waiting to find a new family. I wasn't brought to the shelter alone though. My best friend Jack is here too! Jack is a 3 year old coonhound, and we would love to find a new home where we can continue to live together. We've already lost our owner, and we don't want to have to lose each other too.

Before I go to my new home I will be up to date on vaccinations, spayed, and will also have a microchip. I would do well in a home with other dogs, and also like kids. I've never been around a cat before though, so we;re not sure what I think of them.

Do you have room in your house and heart for Jack and I? Stop by the shelter anytime it's open to spend some time with us! Shelter hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10-5, Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8, and Saturday from 10-2. Come visit!

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Suzie, a Youngwood Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
