Bea's Story...
"Bea" is a beautiful 1-1/2 year old female Beagle/Basset Hound mix who was surrendered by her owner on November 16, 2016. This sweet young lady has a black-and-white short smooth coat, short bowed front legs, chubby feet, a long body, a long tail, and a gorgeous tricolored face with extra-long black-and-brown velvet ears. "Bea" has black markings on the top of her head which give her the appearance of wearing a headband :) She has a vivacious, outgoing personality and loved attention while she was having her glamour photos taken. "Bea" is good conversationalist and had a lot to talk about when she was outdoors, but she was fairly quiet when she came back inside. She sniffed and made the acquaintance of several cats who were in towers in our lobby but didn't seem particularly interested in them. "Bea" is s fairly small girl who weighs 25.4 lbs. She was spayed on November 18, 2016 and was also given rabies vaccine.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bea, a Marietta Beagle/Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Basset Hound for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Beagle/Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Basset Hound breeders who help with Beagle/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
