Durango's Story...
Howdy everyone! My name is Durango, and I am a handsome Shepherd mix boy born in 2014. I currently weigh in around 45 pounds.

I made my way to MaxFund from a rural Colorado shelter in hopes of finding my forever home! I am a happy and sweet boy that loves everyone I meet! I love hanging out with my humans! I'm also a very energetic fella that loves being active. I will thrive in a home that can provide me with daily physical activity! I am a true Colorado dog who would love to join you for fun outdoor adventures like hiking, camping and more! I love to explore and am very curious about my surroundings! You'll notice that I'm quite the inquisitive gentleman and I'm always one to take in the scenery. I seem to get along well with other dogs, but I would need to meet any potential fur siblings before going home with you! I've also done well with cats in the past.

I would like to work on my basic obedience training with you. Will you help me learn good manners so I can be a stand up canine citizen? I sure hope so!

Ask the front desk to meet me today! I'll be watching for you! :)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Durango, a Denver Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Denver, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
