Ollie's Story...

Ollie  is such an amazing dog and he is ready to find a furever home. He is leash trained, crate trained and house broken. At the door when given a WAIT command, he lays down and patiently waits for the door to open and to be released to go. He gets along well with dogs and would love to have a furry brother or sister. He suffers from anxiety and would do best in a home with people who are around  a lot and with no little kids. He takes some time to warm up to people and we have found that introducing him to people in the backyard works best. He may need some time but, once he's comfortable with people he is a huge cuddle bug who loves to be brushed and is great at bath time. He weighs about 26 pounds (mostly in his head) and is a great dog all around.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ollie, a Huntington Beach Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen/Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen/Basset Hound for sale in Huntington Beach, or seeking a Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen/Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Huntington Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntington Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntington Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen/Basset Hound breeders who help with Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntington Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
