Hello there! I am Gus, but you can call me whatever you want as long as you will love me. I am willing to learn tricks to get your attention. I dance on my two paws for my foster parents and I am really easy to walk. I was born in Kentucky. I am about 2.5 years old Border Collie mix with something small like a Dachshund or Corgi, but it is hard to tell. My Mama did not tell me -maybe she did not want to. I am up to date on vaccines and neutered. I am healthy & fit and I love your attention. I love to be with you, play, walk, run or hike. I am very adorable and much attached to my human foster parent or any human that gives me attention. A rescue organization got me out of my jail cell and cleaned me up. I prefer to be the only dog. I do not like to share attention with other small dogs, and I am not too fond of large dogs either. Even though I am show that I am brave, I am kind of scared of some of them. I do get along with some dogs like my friend the Chocolate Lab you can see in one of my pictures. I am very good on a leash because it is more important for me to be near you than anything else in the world. I can be at home in a crate for a long time, but I much prefer to be with humans all the time. I may be still a little scared to go back to a shelter but I hope you can give me a loving home where I can feel safe. Will you give me love and care? Will you be my fur-ever family? In return, I will give you my unconditional love and dance for you. I am really a good boy and I deserve to be loved and I want to love you in return. Will you give me my new home for the rest of my life? Thank you, thank you, and thank you! I already feel I have a better chance at life!

About Paws & Tails Lifetime Companions

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a home based small dog rescue organization. We provide food, shelter, exercise, basic training, vaccination and all medical care for our rescued dogs. We feed our dogs with 5 Star rated "Taste of The Wild" dry dog food supplemented by canned and home cooked meals. Adult dogs and puppies go through basic obedience training if they are long enough with us. You will have our support with feeding suggestions, health and training tips for the lifetime of your companion. By adopting you become a member of our extended family!

We love dogs and would like to contribute to lowering the suffering of our four legged friends in this cruel world. We believe any small involvement makes a difference. Since we are a private rescue and adoption organization, we always welcome your help during adoption events. We need help setting up the event, walking the dogs, cleaning after them, showing dogs to potential new families and closing the event down.

We are also looking for foster homes to have rescue dogs feel like at home. Our dogs frequently have been in shelters and abandoned by previous owners. Therefore, they need your tender love and care. Wouldn't you like to give some TLC to a man's best friend?

If you know of any abandoned dogs in your neighborhood, contact your animal control center. You can also let us know and we will follow up on its rescue. If the dog is in Milwaukee and surrounding areas, we will do everything to attempt to save the dog.
