Jennifer and Paul's Story...
Hey guys! My name is Paul, and that is my sister, Jennifer. We were rescued when we were babies by some wonderful volunteers at Henrico Humane Society. We found our forever home, together, andthought we had the perfect life. Unfortunately, one of our new family members was allergic to us. Lucky for us, HHS gave us a new foster home and promised us that we’d find our happilyever after.

Jennifer and I are very well rounded kitties. We love being with our special humans, and we love being petted. We’re also very playful kitties. We like all kinds of toys! We don’t have many requirements for our forever home. All we really want is to stay together and to find a family who will love us forever and never abandon us. Do you know the best part about adopting two kitties? Twice the snuggles!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jennifer and Paul, a Richmond Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
