DOGGIE BIO:
Dante is an approximately 8 year old smooth, red intact male, and is looking for a new home due to no fault of his own. His current owner is a disabled veteran on a fixed income and will be moving to a senior care center soon. Unfortunately, Dante will not be able to go with him.
Dante is potty trained, walks well on a leash, does well with other dogs, cats and kids. He does best on a grain free diet and is otherwise healthy. Immunizations may be delinquent due to the limited income of the owner. He loves to chase the ball but may not want to give it back. He likes to be around other people and pets and prefers not to be left alone for long periods of time.
"I just want him to go to a good home that will take good care of him and give him plenty of love".

ODR, INC. ADOPTION CRITERIA (aka Our Fine Print):
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria for dogs that we adopt and that we recommend to owners whose doxies we list courtesy posts for, the sole aim of which is to facilitate a successful adoption with a forever family.
*Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time?
*Have a securely fenced yard?
*We do not place same gender dogs in a home unless they were raised together, and *Children need to be 12 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie).
*We prefer non smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc). *Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog.
Remember these are rescues, many were surrendered because of these or similar issues.
