My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Liam is a 2-yr old American guinea pig who was surrendered to Empty Cages due to allergies. Despite his previous guardian's best intentions, Liam was grossly overweight, had overgrown nails, patches of fur missing, and was kept alone in an unhygienic small enclosure. As soon as we took Liam into our care, placed him on a proper diet, and gave him a spacious enclosure with plenty of hideouts and tunnels for him to explore, the transformation was evident. Liam went from eating and sleeping all day, to an active life, where he is interacting with other guinea pigs, as well as Empty Cages volunteers daily.

Liam is an affectionate, vocal, and funny little guy who would really like his new life to start soon. He has a gentle demeanor, a friendly outlook of life, and likes being handled. He was yearning for a friend for a long time, somebody to pay attention to him, love him, and provide him the proper care he deserves.

After getting his waistline in an enviable shape, Liam has developed a fashion sense, and now will voice his strong opinions daily. For instance, he thinks high tops are a fashion faux pas, and will work hard at destroying them every chance he gets. Check out his dropbox photo album to see him in action.

Liam has been introduced to Heinness, and the boys quickly bonded and developed a wonderful friendship. They are now being adopt as a pair only.
