Jack's Story...
Name: Jack
Breed: Lab mix
Age: Young Adult
Gender: Male

Jack is an adolescent male Lab mix who has been raised 'in the system', meaning he's never had a home of his own yet. The positives though are that he is very well socialized with people of all ages and other dogs, and he is now in a fantastic foster who is getting him house trained. Jack loves the large yard to play in and the other dogs there, would do best in a home with a canine companion. He's good with kids, enjoys being taken for walks, and is smart, responds well to training. Typical Lab, he loves water, playing ball/stick, and meeting people. Jack came into rescue with his sister, Jill.

Requirements: Home with a yard

You can email with questions and for a preadopt application. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated as age appropriate, tested for heartworm disease if age appropriate, and dewormed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jack, a Minneapolis Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
