Tyson is looking for a second chance with a loving family. He arrived as a stray after being picked up by an Animal Control Officer, his family has not come in to find him and bring him home. So here he sits hoping each day will be his lucky day. Tyson is playful and energetic, he loves to go out and run in the yard. Come down and meet this guy he will steal your heart. Tyson is about 1 to 2 years young, estimated to be 60 pounds, up to date on vaccinations, neutered, micro-chipped and heartworm negative

We are a town municipal shelter dedicated to rescuing and adopting out animals picked up or brought to the shelter as strays, owner surrenders, and abandoned animals. We have a great group of employees and volunteers dedicated to the animals in our care!

Our Adoption Process...

Residents of Brookhaven are given first preference, but non-residents may also adopt and dogs or cats available at the Shelter. All dogs adopted (with adoption fee) receive a 4-in-1 vaccine, Bordetella, and Canine Influenza vaccine are spayed/neutered, microchipped, licensed, and given a rabies inoculation before leaving the Shelter. Adopters must leave a $40 bond for puppies and a $35 bond for kittens not old enough to be spayed/neutered at time of adoption.

2. Call the Animal Shelter at (631) 286-4940 to verify that the animal is there or if you have any questions.
3. Visit the Animal Shelter to see/adopt the animal.
