My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pepper is a sweet and lovable boy! Once he feels comfortable in his new home, he can’t get enough cuddles, and he loves getting back rubs and ear scratches. Pepper has a curious, exploratory side and will investigate everything around him at home. He almost reminds me of a dog -- he waits at the door for me and then basically never leaves my side once I am in the apartment -- it's so cute! He sometimes sleeps on his back with all four paws in the air, which is hilarious. If he sees a free hand, he will immediately nuzzle it, it's like clockwork! Born around 9/10/14, Pepper was a family pet who lived happily with young children and was playful around other cats and dogs who occasionally came to visit. Given up due to allergies in September 2016, Pepper was deeply sad at first. But one night, after he realized he was safe, he suddenly crept up onto the couch with us, purring very loudly, and couldn't get enough petting. He kept moving back and forth between me and my fiance to snuggle. The next morning he was waiting for us when we woke up -- ready to go again. And since then, he’s made himself at home. Moral of the story: Give this sweetie a chance. If you are patient with him, Pepper will be a loyal and loving friend. He is seriously such a wonderful cat and would be great for someone who really wants a companion. All he wants is love!
