Stan (Neutered)'s Story...
"Stan" is a handsome young male kitten who arrived at the HSOV on October 10, 2016 along with his siblings (Kenny, Kyle,, and Wendy) after they were found in Marietta Ohio without their mother. These precious babies were just 6-weeks old at that time. They were always happy, playful youngsters and have shared a small cage in our shelter where they entertained themselves and kept each other company. "Stan" has a black-and-white short smooth coat, a long tail, and a sweet kitten face with a pink-and-black nose. He has black markings on his face which give him the appearance of wearing a tiny black cap :) "Stan" was given vaccinations and wormer on October 10, 2016. He was neutered on November 9, 2016 and was also given rabies vaccine. "Stan" is very attached to his sister "Wendy" so we hope that they will find a home together.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stan (Neutered), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
