  • Age: Adult

Buckwheat is a really great dog, always happy and wagging his tail. He looks like a tibetan spaniel mix and we think he is approx 7 years old. He weighs 27 lbs, and has a goofy smile with a cute semi underbite. He does well on a leash, seems to be pretty well house trained and gets along with all of the other dogs. He does like being with people and wants to be where you are, so would not do well being left alone all day or in an apt as he likes company. He tested positive for heart worms was properly treated. After treatment the dogs will usually test negative in 6 months. He has also been started on heart guard monthly.

The total adoption donation of $475 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. We also provide a coupon for a free wellness visit to the South Wilton Vet group if convenient for you. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care. Our application is online at http://houstonshaggydogrescue.org/application-process/
