Daffy's Story...
Daisy and Daffy are ABTCR dogs that are being returned for reasons unrelated to them after several years in their adoptive homes. They have been together during most of their lives and we would love to adopt them out together.

Daffy is a 6 year old Coonhound that is very affectionate, loving, and craves attention. She is very nervous around new people. She does well with her sister, Daisy, and also counts a cat among her friends. She does well with children and currently spends her days with children aged 1-12. She is housetrained and enjoys free run of the house.

Daisy is a 5 year old Bloodhound. She gets along with other animals and currently has a cat as a friend. She is housetrained and has free run of the house. She is sweet and loving and loves children. She spends her days chasing leaves and laying in the sun. She is pretty lazy!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daffy, a New York Black and Tan Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Black and Tan Coonhound for sale in New York, or seeking a Black and Tan Coonhound dog from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Black and Tan Coonhound breeders who help with Black and Tan Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
