Trixie's Story...
"Are you looking for a darling little girl who loves to snuggle? Please consider me! My name is TRIXIE, and I'm a two-year-old Long-Haired Chihuahua who's gentle and loving. I've been completely quiet here at the shelter, and I have the sweetest temperament. I'm quite small, so I'd be the perfect lap dog. I enjoy going on walks, too. I'm the kind of dog who'll be your very good friend and a cherished member of the family. I'd be a wonderful family pet, and I also get along nicely with other dogs. I'm an all-around well-mannered young lady. The staff is pretty sure that I've already been house trained, but I might need a quick refresher course when I get to my new home. If you're ready for a cute little love bug, please head on over to the El Cajon Animal Shelter right away so we can get acquainted out in the play yard. I hope to see you soon! Love, Trixie"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trixie, a El Cajon Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
