Facts about Bogart

  • Breed: Brittany/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog Mix
  • Color: White - With Red, Golden, Orange Or Chestnut
  • Age: Senior
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Bogart is an almost 15 year old spaniel/sheltie/collie type who was surrendered to an NJ shelter through no fault of his own. He's an amazingly happy friendly guy despite being homeless at such an advanced age and would fit in perfectly in just about any home...he's fine with other dogs and was even kissing the vet during his exam. Bogart is 30-35lbs full grown and is in pretty good shape for an older guy. Bogart would love a forever home for the holidays...please consider adopting a senior like him! Email njwoof@cs.com to meet him

We do not have a shelter- all our pets are in foster homes and can be seen by appointment only during the week, or at our weekly pet adoptions every Sunday at the Animal Clinic of Morris Plains from 12:30 to 3PM at 3009 Route 10 East next to 5 Star Car Wash (formerly Boulder Car Wash) in Morris Plains (Denville on GPS). To help us better match a pet to your household, we request you fill out an application on our homepage www.secondchance.petfinder.com and copy and paste it into an email, or print it and bring it to our adoption day when you come. Local inquiries only please- we do not do long distance adoptions.

Can't adopt but still want to help this dog? Click on the "Sponsor Me" button at the top of this page to donate toward his/her care! All donations are tax-deductible and go directly toward the care of our rescue dogs. Thank you for your support!

About Second Chance Pet Adoption League

About Our Rescue Group...

We a small group of volunteers dedicated to rescuing as many homeless dogs as we can and keeping them happy and healthy in foster homes until they are adopted.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Every Sunday at the Animal Clinic of Morris Plains from 12:30 to 3pm at 3009 Route 10 East in Morris Plains, NJ 07950. Call us at 973-208-0191 or during the adoption at 973-366-2568 for more info.

Our Adoption Process...

We request that adopters fill out a pre-adoption application either in person at our adoption day or through our website www.secondchance.petfinder.com. This helps us make sure the animal's personality is a good match for your household. Adoption fees vary according to the dog's age, breed, adoptability, and how much we have had to spend in vet bill on them. Adopters sign a contract at the time of adoption, and the animal must come back to us if they do not work out in the home.
