Summer's Story...
This sweet black velvet girl was only a teenager (8 mos.) when her former owner turned her and her 4 newborns into the county shelter because she had a litter of kittens. She and her babies were on the euthanasia list for the next day (Sept 21st). They were all rescued on “the last day of summer”-foster mom wanted her to have a pretty name, so meet “Summer”

She is a beautiful, silky, long-haired (mainly her tail) black beauty with a wonderful disposition. She was an excellent caring mother for her babies, and although she is now spayed and won’t be having babies anymore, she will be an excellent companion kitty. She is as sweet as can be, and will be a great lap-kitty. She is beautiful inside and out, a gentle loving soul “That’s Summer”

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Summer, a Myrtle Beach Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Myrtle Beach, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Myrtle Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Myrtle Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Myrtle Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Myrtle Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
