Facts about Zina and Kodiak (Combined fee)

  • Breed: Siberian Husky/Alaskan Malamute Mix
  • Color: Gray/Blue/Silver/Salt & Pepper
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: POM JS
"Kodak" (a 2-3 year old neutered male Siberian Husky/Alaskan Malamute mix, approximately 70 lbs) & "Zina" (a 2-3 year old spayed female Siberian Husky, approximately 55 lbs) are a fully vetted bonded pair that are microchipped, UTD on shots and preventative meds, and are now anxiously awaiting their forever home. The perfect home for them would be one that could offer lots of exercise and attention as they are very sweet but certainly not dogs that you can just keep in a kennel or left alone in the yard all day. Older children would be okay, but because of their size, energy level, and attention requirements, small children are not recommended in the immediate family on a daily basis. These guys can be mischievous, but we believe that to be because although they have a great temporary foster home, they still aren't getting enough one on one attention and exercise that each needs to be the best companions possible. Currently, they dig and chew (from boredom and lack of stimulation), but again, we believe that can and will be mostly if not completely alleviated with the perfect home that can give them what they need to thrive! They are fine around other large dogs, but would prefer to be the only dogs in the household if possible. Also, a home without other small animals and/or livestock is recommended. An active owner/adopter is a MUST for this pair or a LARGE 6' fully fenced yard is required. This is to ensure everyone's happiness and safety! Kodak and Zina are certainly not for a first time dog owner that is looking for a couch potato, but if you're looking for a wonderful duo that's as sweet as can be and will be up for plenty of adventures, let's get in touch!

Both dogs are very affectionate, love to interact with their "people", play fetch, go for walks, and give lots of puppy kisses! They each also already know how to sit, and Kodak knows how to shake as well while Zina promptly rolls over for you to shower her with endless belly rubs.

About Pooches & Purrs Cooperative - Beacon/Newburgh NY

About Our Rescue Group...

Pooches & Purrs Cooperative is a group of rescues and individual rescuers that are working hard to find loving homes for the dogs, cats, kittens and puppies that find their way into our care through no fault of their own. Each individual or group has several wonderful dogs In Tennessee, Alabama or Kentucky looking for homes! All of them are completely vetted and neutered/spayed (if age appropriate) and on heartworm protection. All of them come with complete medical records. Their adoption fee of $500 covers their complete age appropriate vetting and heartworm preventative as well as their transportation to your area.
Our rescues don't have an actual shelter building in the New York area. Due to this it is not always possible to meet them prior to their adoption. At times, a dog may be in foster care in New York and their bio will clearly be marked as such so you will know. These southern dogs & cats are brought up to their new owners weekly! We have a 14 day money back guarantee and the pet can be rehomed appropriately if things don't work out. Each group tries hard to get good matches in your homes so that everyone has a happy life together! To date the cooperative has placed over a two thousand dogs and puppies, cats and kittens in loving homes! Each group has many, many, references of happy adopters up in your area that can fill you in on their experience. Just email and they can pass along that information for your convenience. Thanks
