Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Scout is a wonderful, smart, loving little small terrier mix who id doing fantastic in his training in New Leash on Life at Gaston Correctional. Scout is about a year old and weighs about 20lbs. He is the perfect size for someone who wants a walking running companion and a lap dog. FurBabies is in partnership with The NC Department of Public Safety and the New Leash on Life Program and Major is in the current training class. It is a WIN/WIN/WIN... A WIN for the Inmates because they have the opportunity to work with the animals, which gives them a purpose and an opportunity for employment when they are released from prison, a WIN for the dog because it learns all of the commands to earn it’s Canine Good Citizenship Certificate which is the first step in becoming a therapeutic dog and most schools, nursing homes and other locations allow dogs with Good Citizenship Training to be a part of programs at their facilities, and of course a WIN for the new owner who get and absolutely amazing highly trained rescue dog.
