Facts about Perdi Paw

  • Breed: Australian Kelpie Mix
  • Color: Black - With Brown, Red, Golden, Orange Or Chestnut
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Perdi Paw is looking for a hero as she recovers from Tick Fever and Valley Fever.
Perdi Paw has a tender heart and is a bit of a wallflower, but if you show her a kind hand and speak sweetly, she will be right over to share the love and have her belly scratched. Perdi Paw is stunning in looks and personality. She is a submissive, docile, gentle lady with the expressive ears. She's great on the leash and gets along quite well with other dogs (whether as a pack or a single dog) of all sizes (she doesn't mind cats either!). Perdi is crate trained and uses a doggie door. She is currently a little underweight at 25 lbs, but her appetite is improving and her needed weight gain should come quickly.
Special needs:
Perdi Paw has recently been diagnosed with Tick Fever. The treatment is 30 days of an antibiotic.
She has also been diagnosed with Valley Fever. Treatment - a lengthy treatment with an antifungal medication. The duration of treatment will depend on the severity of infection. In many cases treatment will be required for 6-12 months. Although the treatment is prolonged, the dog usually begins to feel better within 1-2 weeks after the treatment begins.
Perdi Paw desperately needs a foster home (or better yet, a forever home) so she can be treated and start her recovery in a home setting. Please consider opening your heart and home to this cherished girl.

AGE: 8-12 months
ENERGY LEVEL: Average - happy to seek out activities like walks and play and they balance it out with equal amounts of rest.
