Jake's Story...
Meet Jake, our new handsome guy! Jake is in search of a forever home and is accepting applications. His former owner left him at the shelter, and Jake was sad and confused, but now is ready to move on. It is probably the best thing that could happen to him, as he was in terrible condition, so thin you could see his ribs, stinky, and heartworm positive. With lots of good food, Jake is getting healthy again, is gaining his much needed weight, and has started the process for his heartworm treatment which the rescue pays for.

Neutered Male
Current on shots
Micro chipped
Heartworm positive
House trained
Crate trained
4 Years old
Good with other dogs
Good with people and older children
Not cat tested

Jake is a sweet boy and loves to play with the other fosters, but is high energy and quite strong. He will need an experienced owner and someone he can respect and look to for guidance and leadership. Some basic obedience would help too, as he is a quick learner and is catching on fast. If you think you would be a good match for Jake, please go to our website to complete our adoption application and someone will get in touch with you.

  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dripping Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dripping Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
