Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Happy Scrappy, an orange and white Maine coon mix kitten. This sweetie recently lost his eye after he came in with a terrible infection that just couldn't be cured in time. After his surgery, he is healthy and happy and ready for a furrever home. So much happier actually now that he is pain free and he has adjusted so well to his handicap.
Don't let this deter you though. He has the most spectacular personality. He's a lap cat! He is very sweet and quite the little love bug. He loves to play and purr and snuggle. He is great with dogs, children, and cats.
He will have to go under our companion cat policy, which means he will need to go to a home with a young cat or be adopted with a young cat. Remember that he has two gorgeous sisters, Poppy and Odeena. Poppy has been adopted, but Odeena, the red and white Exotic Shorthair mix, is here and ready to be adopted.
If you were interested in adopting this sweet boy, please contact us at merlinshoperagdollrescue@gmail.com for an application. He is currently being fostered in Austin, Texas, and is ready to go home now
Adoption Fee: $150

Sorry, we do not ship our cats or provide any transportation. All potential adopters should reside in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, or Louisiana. We will not adopt outside of those states.
Who We Are: We are a private rescue and privately funded. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, BUT A RESCUE. A rescue is a PRIVATE HOME and not a public place to visit. Adopters must make appointments prior to visiting foster homes. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested, wormed, de-fleaed, and vaccinated prior to adoption.
Adoption Process: We require all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application prior to setting up an appointment to visit with the cat(s). We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. If you call or email us, we will provide you with an application via email.
COMPANION CAT POLICY: Unless otherwise indicated, all cats under the age of 3 must go into a home with another cat/kitten under the age of three or be adopted with a buddy. Ragdolls and Maine Coons are physically slow to mature, benefit greatly from the social interactions with another cat and often long for the companionship. Obviously, some young adults not raised around other cats or with more independent personalities may be exceptions to those rules, but that is up to the discretion of the Rescue to assess that need and is not negotiable. Special prices are made for buddy adoptions.
