Dottie's Story...
Meet Dottie! Dottie was rescued from an animal control facility in rural Tennessee. We visited this facility the first week that it began to get really cold in the south and rescued 12 dogs and puppies from the cold, wet, outdoor kennels and brought them into our program. Dottie is around 3 months old, she is being fostered with children and other dogs. Dottie has a very sweet and gentle disposition, She loves to play, cuddle, and do all things puppy. She loves the company of other dogs and children. Her adoption fee is $500 and includes her spay surgery, microchip implant, fecal exam and appropriate deworming, yearly vaccines (rabies vaccine, kennel cough vaccine, 5 way vaccine), up to date heartworm prevention, and the cost of transport from her Memphis area foster home to her forever home in the New England or Midwest areas with the help of one of our professional transport partners. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dottie, a Chicago German Shorthaired Pointer/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shorthaired Pointer/Labrador Retriever for sale in Chicago, or seeking a German Shorthaired Pointer/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shorthaired Pointer/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with German Shorthaired Pointer/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
