Rylin's Story...
Meet RYLIN!!
Rylin is an 8 pound, approximately 3 year old, mixed breed (vet thinks long haired chihuahua mix), spayed female. She was found as a stray in a busy rail yard having to dodge 18-wheelers. This girl was scooped up by a trucker and taken to safety yet no one came to claim her. Rylin is calm, has moderate energy, and would make an excellent companion. She does great in a crate, and has done very well with potty training. Gets along with other dogs big and small, and has shown no interest in the cats in her foster home.

Preferred home has a fenced yard and no children under 10 please. Must be an inside dog.

Rylin is currently in a foster home in San Antonio TX and can be transported once adopted.

Adoption fee is $170, and transport fee to the East coast is $185. Dog may be flown also, if desired, at airline rates. Contact Teresa at teresakopacki@gmail.com for an application or for additional information, or call Michelle at 210-535-5480.

Act quickly to adopt Rylin. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rylin, a Troutville Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Troutville, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Troutville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Troutville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Troutville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Troutville paves the way for another one to be saved.
