Darby's Story...
Meet Darby! Darby is an independent 8 yr old lady looking for furever at our West Valley shelter in Phx. If you're not so into the type of dog that is "clingy" or needy, well Darby is the lady for you! Sure, pets are nice but Darby plays it cool- she's just as happy to sniff around on her own in the sunshine. Besides her obvious passion for fashion (lol), Darby loves to go on walks and is up for a little adventure. She's an outgoing dog and has no problems meeting new people or hanging out with her dog pals. She would love to meet your dog from home- bring them in and staff can help with a meet and greet.

You can meet this lovely lady in D building at the West Valley Animal Care Center in Phx (2500 S. 27th Ave.). Hours are 11-6 Mon-Fri and 11-5 Sat & Sun. Darby's $20 adoption fee includes spay, County license and rabies certificate. Darby- A3845351

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Darby, a Phoenix American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
