Oreo's Story...
Oreo
Approx 1 ½ years old
Tolerant of other animals
Oreo is SUCH a sweet and lovable boy! He’s a mellow guy and just likes to chill out and hang on your lap while you watch TV. Oreo lived in a home in Hartford with a cat, a dog and two small kids. Unfortunately they had to move and he is not allowed in their new apartment so we took him in to our rescue. He is currently enjoying the company of his foster mom and dad and slowly getting to know the resident cats and dog! Smokey is neutered, vaccinated and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. He's a wonderful boy!
If you are interested in adopting him please email kenwayscause@aol.com. Adoption fee for cats is $85

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oreo, a Hartford Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Hartford, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Hartford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hartford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hartford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hartford paves the way for another one to be saved.
