Maxx's Story...
Maxx came into the shelter as a stray when he was 7 months old. He is a very sweet boy that loves to be around people! We think that he is a Lab/Hound/Whippet mix but what he really is, is anyone's guess. He can be vocal when left alone so apartment living or close neighbors might not be the right fit for him. He is a very smart boy who picks up quickly on training and will need someone that is willing to work with him and his brian! For his age, Maxx is a calm and gentle guy that does get rowdy every now and then (He is of course still a puppy!) Maxx is sure to bring someone or a family alot of love and joy! He is going to be someone's best friend for life! Maxx must meet all family members that reside in the home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maxx, a Chambersburg Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Chambersburg, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Chambersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chambersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chambersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chambersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
