Facts about Guido

  • Breed: Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) Mix
  • Color: Red/Golden/Orange/Chestnut
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
Guido is 6 month old baby who was found by a volunteer wandering alone; he was scared and so sad. Thankfully we have great volunteers with a big hearts for these homeless and unwanted pups. Young ones like this typically do not survive long. He really is a beautiful little boy. He's a Rusty coloured baby that is a purse sized pooch. Guido is friendly and sweet. He is a quiet little boy who would love nothing more than to curl up in a lap to be comforted. Truly a nice boy. For more information on how to meet Guido, please fill in the online application at nobordersanimalrescuesociety.ca

No Borders Animal Rescue Society (NOBARS)

We are a registered non profit society. All our dogs are vaccinated, sterilized and are fostered in homes with families.

NOBARS believes that a dog is best assessed for a new home environment by living in one!!!! Therefore we do not use kennels, but have a network of approved foster homes where our dogs can be properly assessed before being offered for rehoming. Our foster homes offer a varied range of experiences which means we can choose an appropriate foster home for each dog, but it also means our dogs are able to experience situations which are invaluable to owners looking to take on a new forever friend, such as children, cats and other dogs.

About NOBARS Vancouver

Our Adoption Process...

As responsible members of NO Borders Animal Rescue Society (NOBARS), it is our goal to successfully adopt our rescued dogs and puppies into forever families. Our responsibility is to ensure that the animal you wish to adopt is well suited for you, your home, and your lifestyle. We always look for the best possible conditions for each animal. Do note that the animals in our care have uncertain and often unknown pasts. We endeavour to do our best at determining age/breed/size; however, we can never be certain.

Adoption fees help NOBARS cover costs for the care and medical attention of your new adoptive animal. All adoption fees are non-refundable.

Step 1:
First, complete our adoption application form, which can be found under the adoption tab. If you have difficulty with the online form, please contact info.nobars@gmail.com and we will email a copy of the form to you.

Step 2:
Second, an adoption coordinator will review the application and contact the family as quickly as possible to discuss the application and conduct a telephone interview. Note that we do have the right to decline your application for any reason we feel will not match with the needs of our animals.

Step 3:
Third, once your application is approved, we will put the prospective family in touch with the animal's foster family to arrange a meeting.

Step 4:
Fourth, in every case, we will require a home visit. Please be prepared to have a NOBARS volunteer visit your home.

Step 5:
Fifth, after you have met the animal, we will assess the situation; how the dog reacts to you and how you react to the dog. We do encourage that you take a day to think about it. We will discuss the adoption openly and fully with all members of the family. This ensures that the dog matches with your family. We will always adopt to the most suitable family.

Step 6:
Sixth and final, and if all parties are in favour of the adoption, your new family member will be delivered to you.
Please be prepared for your new furry friend by purchasing food, bed, toys, and bowls before he/she comes home.
