Flower's Story...
Meet Flower! She is living with a foster family in Mount Horeb!

This little girl is looking for her forever home. She is 10 weeks old and weighs about 10 lbs....she could fit into any home! She is sweet and cuddly, and loves other dogs! Mom appears to be a black mouth cur mix, dad was a traveling man so not quite sure of that side of the family. Flower won't be quite 3 months old when she arrives in Wisconsin so she will need to be spayed when she turns 6 months. Also, since she is just a little tyke, she will need a patient family to help her learn puppy etiquette, as well as house training. Are you this special family?

Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a home visit and a meet and greet. Please note that preference is given to adopters in Wisconsin, but out of state adoptions will be considered. Adoption fee is $250.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Flower, a Fort Atkinson Black Mouth Cur puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Black Mouth Cur for sale in Fort Atkinson, or seeking a Black Mouth Cur puppy from a breeder in Fort Atkinson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Atkinson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Atkinson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Black Mouth Cur breeders who help with Black Mouth Cur rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Atkinson paves the way for another one to be saved.
