Here's what the humans have to say about me:
SHEILA is a 5 year old spayed black female Lab who weighs 81 pounds but she needs to lose about
5 of those pounds. Sheila is a very sweet and friendly girl. She has always lived on a farm as a breeder dog. She enjoys walking around and exploring outside in her yard. Sheila is good with other dogs. She has always lived with other dogs so she should go to a home with another dog. Owner give up to Lab Rescue due to no longer using her in their breeder program. No cat history. Sheila is approved for kids 10+.
Update: Sheila is a very affectionate, lap pup. She does well with the resident dogs and cat. She is doing great with training and commands. She gives her paw ( quite regularly!),responds to "come", "out", "no", and we are working on "down".
Sheila will be at the adoption event in Frederick on Sunday.
Update: Sheila is doing well after a few days of settling in. She knows some commands and listens pretty well. She got in the fish pond and had a blast in the water, so she might enjoy swimming in the future. She is a velcro Lab who wants to be next to you. She loves ear scratches and belly rubs and will put her paw on you for more. She doesn't seem interested in toys or fetching. She is okay when left alone, but she will go in the crate if needed. Sheila craves attention and loves human attention.
From rescuer: Sheila is a very pretty and loving girl. She was fine with me touching her all over. She loved giving me her paw. Sheila is partially blind in her right eye but she seems to get around just fine. She tried to get in the car with me after I met her. I think she is ready to find a warm and loving home.
