My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PETER is a cute little fellow about seven months old, a solid black short-haired kitty with big yellow eyes. This little guy is a sweetie who is learning to trust humans. He came from outdoors, raised by a feral mom, so he is still quite shy. However, he is getting friendlier and less scared as he gains confidence in his new surroundings.

Peter gets lots of attention from the volunteers – lots of pats, cuddles and even belly rubs – and a big soft bed. He has become a shelter favorite. He is remarkably calm and docile, considering his background. Perhaps the indoor life isn’t so bad after all.

Peter sometimes plays with the other kittens in the room, but usually prefers to observe. He should get along OK with other non-threatening cats in his new home. He should be ready for lap-cat duty soon. If you have a quiet household and a lap to fill, come on over and meet Peter.
