"Missy Elliott"'s Story...
Meet "Missy Elliott" She is a dream dog. Missy is a 1-1/2 yr old 10 pound Dacshund mix. She loves to be held and is not a barker. Missy is a little reserved with strangers at first, but warms up quickly. Missy would benefit from a basic obedience training class to master recall and bonding. She likes other dogs, cats and all people. She isn't around children but respectful children over the age of 10 are ok. Missy has a sleek short black coat, and is as cute as they come. During the winter months a sweater or coat is needed to keep her warm. Missy is a character and will make you laugh. Missy would be best suited in a home that is semi- active, she requires daily walks. She is seeking a home with another dog or doggy engaging family. Missy likes car rides, walks well on a leash, playing with toys and being with her people. If away from the home longer than 4 hours a dog walker or daycare plan will need to be in place. Dogs can not be left alone longer than 4 hrs and be expected to hold their potty. Grooming needs are bi weekly bathing and a professional grooming every 7 weeks for nail trims.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

"Missy Elliott", a Seattle Dachshund/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Seattle, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Seattle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Seattle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Seattle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Seattle paves the way for another one to be saved.
