Serious's Story...
Serious is anything but serious. He's a super affectionate 2 year old American Bulldog mix. Serious was surrendered to Friendship because his family travels too much. He is dog friendly but has never been around cats. He likes kids too but tends to play rough so older kids are recommended. Serious is house trained and has manners in the home. He's a big Teddy Bear that would love to get back into a loving home ASAP. Serious was recently adopted and returned. His adopters were first time dog owners and Serious was just too much dog for them to handle. He's a good dog but needs an experienced and dominant owner or he tends to take over.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Serious, a Elyria American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog for sale in Elyria, or seeking a American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog breeders who help with American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
