Crosby's Story...
My name is Crosby, and I am a sweet little boy who was born in March 2016. I am playful as well as inquisitive and get along great with all my foster friends -- 2-legged as well as 4-legged (both cats and dogs). I was trapped as a feral, and the kill shelter notched my ear before they luckily realized that I was too tame and friendly to be put back on the streets to fend for myself! I'm so grateful that my Buster's Friends' foster meowmy brought me home to play it safe inside!
As much as I like my foster home, I'm ready for my lifetime home with my very own human to love. Please open your heart and give me a chance!
Crosby is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for his indoor-only home. No de-clawing permitted. His adoption fee is $100, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Crosby, and we can let you know exactly where you can meet him.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Crosby, a Houston Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
