Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Shmoo's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, a special needs pet, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Shmoo's Story...
Shmoo was found injured in our community. He had been hit by a car and nobody was able to get near him to get him help, so he stayed out there for months before our rescue was made aware of his existence . We had to use a humane trap to finally capture him.
His right front leg couldnt be saved and had to be amputated but that is not bothering him a bit. He is still shy with strangers ..who can blame him, too many times he was chased away when looking for food and shelter :-(
He is about 18 months old, neutered and tested mild heartworm positive and is on the slow kill treatment, currently on just monthly heartworm prevention that every dog should be on anyways, so there is no additional cost or after care necessary .
Shmoo is a very happy and affectionate boy, he will definitely need a family that is patient with him and he will most likely always be on the shy side with people he doesn't know. He gets along great with other dogs and likes cats, he is housebroken and knows how to use a doggie door.

Shmoo will always need a secure yard (fenced) to play and run around, with his past the risk of him getting scared and taking off would be too high in an unfenced area.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shmoo, a Hinesville Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Hinesville, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Hinesville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hinesville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hinesville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hinesville paves the way for another one to be saved.
