Our adoption fee is $225 for puppies under 6 months old, which includes: spay/neuter, microchip, rabies vaccination, and additional vaccinations as of the day they go home. They'll need additional boosters later, which are the adopter's responsibility.
We wait until 6 months of age to spay/neuter puppies, because getting them fixed too early can cause more medical problems long term. What we do is called a provisional adoption, which means you can take the puppy home at 8 weeks, but we don't actually finalize the adoption until they are spayed/neutered later. You can get a free spay/neuter at First Coast No More Homeless Pets under the Big Fix 2 program, or you're welcome to go to the vet of your choice at your own expense. Once they're spayed/neutered, then we finalize the adoption and everything is official.
If you're interested in adopting one of these puppies and would like to meet them, please submit the Adoption Application from our web site at:

NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures, on the pet's details page on Adopt-a-Pet.com.
