My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Take a good look at Lucy! She's a lovable 2 year old that arrived from another shelter. Lucy was in foster care at the other shelter and her foster mom had nothing but good things to say about her. She's a sweet girl that was an excellent mom to all of her pups. She would always let them eat first and gently played with them. Her foster mom described her as a wonderful, gentle lap dog. She was house trained, learned to use a doggy door and had manners in the home. If you're in the market for an all around nice dog, give Lucy a home. You will love this social butterfly!

Here's a recent event that happened with Lucy...Lucy was chewing on what a volunteer thought was a tennis ball and had a large piece of it in her mouth. The volunteer came into the run to assist. Not knowing what was in Lucy's mouth - didn't want her to choke, the volunteer reached right into her mouth and retrieved a rawhide. Lucy was as gentle as a lamb with the volunteer. She's such a good girl. There's a family out there missing out on a great dog.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.
