Fiona's Story...
Pretty Amber girl Fiona!…rescued as a stray in Turkey, Fiona thought she had finally found a home when her rescuers placed her with a family. She did everything she could, everything right. So friendly with everyone, including the family cat, she was a good girl. Unfortunately, that just wasn’t enough….too much work they said, dogs have to be walked and brushed. They require love and care. At Kyra’s Rescue it is our belief that a dog is a member of the family and should be cherished as such. Sadly, it seems not everyone feels the same love and dedication.…so Fiona was returned to her rescuers who, thinking there was no hope finding a home for sweet Fiona, reached out to Kyra’s Rescue to give her a chance at a new life, a happy, contented life here in the United States. This darling girl will be arriving soon.
Anyone interested in adopting Fiona should visit our website at www.kyrasrescue.com to submit an application for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fiona, a Washington Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Washington, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Washington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Washington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Washington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Washington paves the way for another one to be saved.
