Andrew arrived at the shelter with 10 other dogs in September, and as his pictures show, he hadn't received very good care. He'd love a forever home where he could get the love and affection he so truly deserves! In spite of his condition, Andrew is a very sweet and gentle 4-7 year old Hound blend guy who is on the mellow side. During his intake procedure, he fell asleep! He will also happily roll over and show his belly to encourage you to give him some rubs. He's never pushy or demanding but adores getting petted. Andrew would make a wonderful family pet for anyone in search of a more laid back dog. One look into his beautiful soulful eyes and we guarantee you won't be able to resist taking him home to love and spoil. Andrew will give years of affection and faithful companionship to whoever is lucky enough to make him their own. Have a comfy couch you are willing to share? Then this snuggly guy says, "Here I am, let's hang out!" 4-7 years, 50 lbs, heartworm positive
Act quickly to adopt Andrew. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.
Darlington County Humane Society is dedicated to helping homeless and forgotten pets find new loving homes! The shelter takes in thousands of homeless pets a year, and tries to find homes for them before their euthanasia dates. Due to the high volume of intakes, small shelter, and lack of funds the Darlington County Shelter is forced to be a kill shelter. We try our best to adopt out as many fur-babies as we can to avoid this! We continue to work on educating the community, and saving the the homeless animals of our county!
