My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

YOU MUST HAVE AN APPROVED APPLICATION IN ORDER TO SET UP A TIME TO MEET OUR PETS.

Yes, this picture is for real! We went to the shelter to pull a few dogs to bring into our rescue and saw this pitiful little puppy. There was no way we could leave him in the shelter. He just had to come home with us!

He is a about 6 months old and 19 pounds, just a puppy still. His skin and remaining fur are so bad we cannot even guess what breed he is right now.

Wish is a rescue from a cruelty case, obviously in horrible shape and he was covered in oil by his owner. He had been in the shelter 8 days and his eyes were sealed shut with goo. Yes, legal charges are being pressed against the owner by the county so hopefully justice will be served.

Now, before your heart breaks for this boy, let us tell you the rest of the story.

He is super sweet, a gentle, optimistic little guy who is so happy to be with us. His tail wags every time he sees one of us coming to visit him and he seems to love everyone.

Wish has a very soft, submissive personality, a pup who is modest and assumes nothing but hopes for everything. Despite his past, he trusts and adores people and bonds quickly, showing love and affection easily.

He is quiet in his crate and just seems grateful for a clean, dry, warm place to rest his head.

He was so thankful for a wonderful, medicated bath that should start him on the road to healing.

Wish is already starting to show his playful side and enjoys playing with toys.

He is such a sweetheart that we wanted to go ahead and get him posted on our website in case he is fortunate enough to meet a great new family even before his body is recovered enough to start becoming as beautiful as his personality already is.

We will keep you updated on his progress! In the meantime, his little heart will be receiving all the love from us that we can give him and he will start to learn what a precious and valuable little puppy he is.
