Facts about Daisy Mae

  • Breed: Coonhound Mix
  • Color: Black - With Tan, Yellow Or Fawn
  • Age: Senior
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Daisy Mae is a senior hound who came into Paddy's Paws because of a kindhearted samaritan. She saw that Daisy needed to be taken into rescue to enjoy her golden years. While her owner meant no harm, she was unable to provide for her medical needs and offer her the home she deserved. Daisy now has all she needs in a foster home...but would be most thankful for a forever home.

Daisy is around 12 years old and very good with other dogs, children, and comfy beds. She is around 50 pounds, but considers herself a lap dog!

Daisy's adoption fee and medical needs have been covered in full through the generous donation of a wonderful family. They made this donation to honor their sweet senior, who crossed over the rainbow bridge. This donation came in the same day that Daisy Mae was rescued. It's too much of a coincidence and we know it means that Daisy has a furry guardian angel.

Can you bring Daisy Mae home? We would be so very thankful if you could. For more information, please email paddyspawswi@gmail.com

About Paddy's Paws

About Our Rescue Group...

Our primary goal is to find adoptive homes for these amazing animals that are located in shelters, rescues and foster homes. How does it work? You fill out a Paddy's Paws Application which will be submitted for approval for adoption to the Houston rescues. This application is used for Lola's Lucky Day and Houston K911, two 501c3 organizations. Why the same application for two different organizations? It helps streamline the process! There may not be a dog in Lola's for you, but there might be at K911...and you don't have to go through additional steps!

Our adoption process works a bit different than other shelters and rescues! Paddy's Paws serves as a coordinator for Houston rescues. We send out the applications, arrange homevisits and secure back up fosters for each of the dogs that will be transported here. Like most foster-based organizations, we do not have a facility and set up all appointments on an individual basis. Prior to any meet and greets, we require an approved application so we will need to go through all the steps before having you meet any of the available dogs here in Wisconsin.

The application, reference checks and homevisit are considered part of the general approval process and we cannot guarantee that a specific dog will still be available when you complete the process, but doing so will get you access to our "match making" service where you will have bios and pictures of multiple dogs that may be exactly what you're looking for! And, of course, there's always the possibility that the dog that sparked your initial interest will still be available!

We start with the completed application and then check references/vet records. The next step is a homevisit with family and one of our representatives. Once we have gathered all this information, we provide it to the Houston team. Then, we can set up a meet and greet with available dogs.
