Bear's Story...
Bear is here and ready for his forever home. He and is best pal, Bianca, are two absolutely adorable purebred Pomeranians. They love attention and even though he is older at almost 5 yrs. and she at 2 yrs, she always manages to be in charge. He has a handsome black and red coat, weighs 15 pounds and has cutie patootie expressions. He loves his walks and cuddle time. Come and meet this wonderful pair and get ready for lots of attention.

To see Bear, submit an adoption application at http://hsfc.org/adoptions/applications/online/. Staff will contact you—typically within two business days—for a phone interview and to schedule an appointment to visit the Farm in Centreville where our dogs and horses are kept.

Our dogs and horses are NOT at the HSFC shelter at 4057 Chain Bridge Road, Fairfax, VA--only our cats, birds, rabbits, and small mammals can be visited there. Come by and see us!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bear, a Fairfax Pomeranian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pomeranian for sale in Fairfax, or seeking a Pomeranian dog from a breeder in Fairfax.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fairfax already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fairfax breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pomeranian breeders who help with Pomeranian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fairfax paves the way for another one to be saved.
