Zoey (Spayed)'s Story...
"Zoey" is a beautiful 6-month old female kitten who arrived at the HSOV on November 16, 2016 along with her handsome brother (Elmo after they were found in the Belpre Ohio area. "Zoey" has a pale gray short smooth coat in a tabby pattern with soft white highlights on her chest, a long fluffy tail, and an adorable face with a white milk mustache and large golden eyes. This little beauty queen was a very frightened girl when she first came to our shelter, so we waited to take preliminary glamour photos when she was a bit more relaxed. "Zoey" comes to the door of her cage now in anticipation of attention and is accepting the kindness of our kennel techs whom she realizes are her new best friends :) "Zoey" was given vaccinations and wormer on November 16, 2016. She is a petite little lady who weighs 5.9 lbs. "Zoey" was spayed on November 30, 2016 and was also given rabies vaccine.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zoey (Spayed), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
