Fiona (Spayed & Combo Tested)'s Story...
"Fiona" is a lovely adult female Tortoiseshell kitty who arrived at the HSOV on November 22, 2016 after a Good Samaritan brought her to the safety of our shelter. That family had dog who did not tolerate cats around their home, so she could not safely stay there :( "Fiona" had a black/brown beige short smooth coat in a tortoiseshell pattern, a long tail, and a beautiful face with a patch of orange on the right side of her muzzle. This little sweetheart has an affectionate personality and dearly loves attention. She is fairly small and weighs just 5.2 lbs. "Fiona" was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on November 22, 2016. She will be spayed before she is adopted (at no cost to her new family). "Fiona" was spayed on November 30, 2016 and was also given rabies vaccine. She was combo tested on December 12, 2016 and is negative for feline leukemia, FIV, and heartworm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fiona (Spayed & Combo Tested), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
