Prudie's Story...
Our Prudie is a joyful, happy little kitten.

Some of the personality attributes of the character Prudie was named after are quite unflattering. In fact, when Prudie heard that this character was horribly grimy and shockingly cheeky, she asked to have her name changed! However, when she was told that she was also known to be loyal, honest and faithful, our little Prudie was happy again. And happy is a word that describes Prudie very well. She loves to run all over the place playing hard with her sister. Afterwards, she looks for a nice, soft lap in which she can sack out and have some sweet dreams. She is hoping to find a home where there is one or maybe several humans who never get tired of petting and playing with a kitten.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Prudie, a Houston Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
